(5) UNA FUNCIÓN DE DENSIDAD DE PROBABILIDAD CAMPANIFORME BASADA EN EL INVERSO MULTIPLICATIVO DEL TRINOMIO CUADRÁTICO: LA DISTRIBUCIÓN DE CAUCHY

Se presenta en este texto la construcción de la Distribución de Cauchy a partir del inverso multiplicativo del trinomio cuadrático, paso a paso. Al final se consigna un resumen de los resultados para consulta rápida. La importancia de la Distribución de Cauchy radica en que es  una función campaniforme intrínsecamente muy diferente a la Distribución Normal, lo que la hace útil en algunos casos de no normalidad.

A BELL FORM PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTION BASED ON QUADRATIC TRINOMIAL INVERSE MULTIPLICATIVE: THE CAUCHY DISTRIBUTION

It is showed in this text the construction of Cauchy Distributión from quadratic trinomial inverse multiplicative, step by step. At the end it is presented summary of results for quick reference.  The importance of the Cauchy Distribution is that it is a campaniform function intrinsically very different from the Normal Distribution, which makes it useful for some cases of non-normality.
